SPRING!

As my brain slowly adjusts to Daylight Savings Time, and the weather turns fabulous, I'm starting to get excited!  Spring is without a doubt the season I enjoy most in Northern California.  It's the time to go right out the front door and soak it all in.

It can come and go with the blink of an eye, like these almond blooms - so we often plan spring shoots starting in June the previous year.  Of course, then it rains on the scheduled shoot and we adjust.  Some way, some how, we always hit it big 2-3 times in the spring.  It really is a great time of year to combine the vast expanses and landscapes we find in the valley and portraiture.  The green grass, blue skies, raging creeks and rivers can't be beat.  And the clouds - you can't forget the clouds.

This shoot was for the Greg Long Ranch in Corning, CA and they combined the family shoot with some marketing material for their almond sales.  We love it when clients go this route, especially when the weather can be tricky, taking care of 2 things at once is always good with us.  Like any good thing, spring always can comes and goes way too fast - let's try for a record number of spring shoots this year, maybe the late rain will give us an edge!
